Our unique setting on the banks of the Wyong river sets us apart from other schools. Our aim is to create inspirational learning spaces that motivate students and staff alike.
Administration
Our Administration area or ‘front office’ provides a welcoming and helpful environment for all parents and children. The administration team is always happy to assist with any queries or concerns you may have.
Classrooms
All classrooms are air-conditioned and have interactive whiteboards. They are well-resourced and most have been recently refurbished.
Hall
A large open space, newly constructed, used for assemblies and group activities. The Hall has a stage area for performances and presentations. The Before and After School Care operates from the hall. It also provides a wonderful undercover space that also offers children protection from the weather.
Oval
It is a large grassed area that caters for Physical Education lessons, recess and lunchtime activities. There is also a smaller oval in the Infants Playground where the younger students are able to play games and activities during recess and lunch.
Playground Facilities
The two play areas, one in the primary playground and the other in the infants playground, and fitness track are used by many children wanting fun, enjoyment, coordination and agility skills. The two equipment areas are shaded and the ground is covered with softfall for the children’s safety.
We have shaded lunch areas that all children use during recess and lunchtimes. We also have a garden that provides the children with the opportunity to grow produce that is used in the canteen and helps their knowledge of living things.
Canteen
The Canteen Manager has secured a number of Central Coast Healthy Canteen Awards for our healthy food service. The canteen is open two days – Wednesday and Friday and provides a healthy option for families and children. There are also many fun food days organised throughout the year.
Library & Resource Centre
The Fran Carson Library and Resource centre is a large attractive space that is centrally located for easy access. The doors are open before school and during lunchtimes to children wishing to borrow, research or just to enjoy the air conditioned comfort while participating in the many activities on offer.
Technology
Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard and the school manages an up-to-date computer laboratory. We also have a growing bank of mobile devices, such as iPads and LRDs that each teacher can utilise to enhance the teaching and learning taking place within the classrooms.
